Sunday, 14 June at 15:00 and 17:00
Join us for a joyful Father’s Day Family Concert, specially designed for babies and young children (0+). In this 45-minute interactive musical adventure, children and parents will discover the magic of classical music in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
This special edition of our Family Concert celebrates the unique bond between children and their fathers through music, imagination, and shared experiences. Through beautiful melodies, playful rhythms, and engaging musical moments, families are invited to listen, move, and explore the enchanting world of sound together.
Inspired by Mozart’s beloved Magic Flute, this concert offers a gentle and inspiring first encounter with live classical music — stimulating curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.
The concert will be performed by three experienced professional musicians:
Matteo Del Monte – flute
Matteo Del Monte holds the position of Principal Flute at La Monnaie / De Munt Opera House in Brussels, one of Europe’s leading opera companies, and previously held the same position with the Verdi Orchestra in Milan. As a soloist, he has performed with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana (OSI) and the Junior Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. A prizewinner of numerous prestigious competitions, he received First Prize at the Giovani Musici Competition (2006), the National Syrinx Flute Competition (2007 and 2008), the Città di Campagnano Chamber Music Competition (2008), and the Emanuele Krakamp Flute Competition (2009).
Marta Jakubiec – piano and musical guidance
Music educator and choir conductor Marta Jakubiec is the founder of the DoReMi Brussels Music School, dedicated to introducing young children to music through engaging and interactive methods. After winning a conducting competition, she worked with the BBC Singers in London, and she now leads numerous music education projects in Brussels, helping children discover the joy of music from an early age.
Eduardo Tonietto – cello
Cellist Eduardo Tonietto is the founder of the Brussels Muzieque concert platform, dedicated to innovative chamber music projects in Brussels. An internationally active chamber musician, he has performed alongside renowned artists such as Mischa Maisky, the Schumann Quartet, the Jerusalem Quartet, as well as with leading jazz artists such as Aaron Parks and Lars Danielsson.
